Run the Streets Mentoring Program begins fifth season; 5k event on Sept. 10, 2011

The Run the Streets Mentoring Program wants to announce that they are beginning their fifth season and will sponsor a 5k event on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Several Greater First Baptist Church members will be participating. Danae Thompson, T.J. Grayson and Rev. Nathaniel Jones will be in the race. The church is asked to come out and support them.

T.J. and Danae earned medals at the Run for Relief 5K Run two weeks ago. Danae Thompson, T.J. Grayson, Rev. Nathaniel Jones, and Angela Thompson are in the process of training for the half marathon race on Nov. 20.

Anyone interested in signing up for the 5K run next week should contact Rev. Jones. The Run the Streets Program is always looking for volunteers and donations. The program has mentored over 110 youth in the Bartlesville community since its conception.
